Since the 1970s, technology has been involved in streamlining the entire society and the university's education system. Engineering processes have helped reduce costs and standardize quality by streamlining the training process. Computers and networks have democratized learning in universities.

In the context of the Entretiens Jacques Cartier, the best experts will present an overview of the research and practices in the field to ultimately participate in the development and technological transformation of higher education, October 2-3, 2014.

What are MOOCs?

A massive open online course is an online course aimed at unlimited participation and open access via the web. In addition to traditional course materials such as videos, readings, and problems sets, MOOCs provide interactive user forums that help build a community for students, professors, and teaching assistants.

The FUN platform

FUN is a French platform for Higher Education French Institutions and their partner Universities all around the World. The website was launched in october 2013 by Ministry of Higher Education and Resserch. Its aims is to collect projects from French Universities and Schools, for best brand visibility, and to allow everyone in the World to acces to various and high-quality courses for free.
