According to the UNESCO statistics, France continues to attract foreign students, because the French "hexagon" appears third in the ranking of countries that receive the most internationally mobile students. The United States of America and the United Kingdom remain the first two ones.

Indeed, according to these statistics, France hosts in 2012 over 271.399 foreign students, in other words 6,8 % of mobile students, that is a record level.

According to the Ministry of Higher Education and Research statistics, the first foreign community of students in France remains the Moroccan one (32.10400). However, the latter is becoming secondary, against a quota of more and more Chinese students : their number of 30.349 (in 2012) is still growing from year to year.

It should be noted as well that three quarters of these internationally mobiles students in France are enrolled at a university, where the course "Languages, Literature and Human Sciences" is the most attending.
